Jika bingung mau mulai dari mana saat jalan-jalan di kota Paris, kalian bisa mencoba jalur the Triumphal Way (dikenal juga dengan sebutan the Historic Axis). Jalur ini menghubungkan beberapa gerbang atau monumen arch yang penting dan bersejarah di Paris dalam satu garis. Di paling barat ada the Grande Arche de la Défense, di tengahnya ada the Arc de Triomphe de l’Etoile, dan di ujung timurnya ada the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. Mungkin ada juga yang pernah mendengar istilah the Grand Axis, dimana biasanya orang cenderung menyebutkan semua aspek bersejarah yang berada dalam jalur itu, sehingga cakupannya lebih luas. Di mulai dari the Grande Arche de la Défense, the Arc de Triomphe de l’Etoile, the boulevard Champs-Elysées, the Obélisque de Luxor, the Tuileries Garden, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, hingga the Louvre Museum. Tapi sekarang ini, saya hanya akan cerita tentang monumen arch pada the Triumphal Way saja ya.
